 Another Help Request

Purse Posse was recommended as a good place to look for recipes...anyone with a Praline Pecan recipe is invited to send it to me !! Thanks, y'all....Pam at SoToSpeak Praline Pecans -- Help Requested I was in South Carolina and we stopped at this place called Sparky's. They had the best praline pecans I have ever had in my entire life. I know this is not a common request for our blog, but does anyone know how to make these? They take pecan halves and get a praline crunchy candy coating, then they are apparently rolled in a sugary-salty mixture...maybe baked somehow or made in a pan on the stove. This is NOT a praline candy: it is toasted pecans with this unbelievable coating. I have googled till my fingers ache and can't find out how in the heck you do this. (Yes, I can email Sparky's and order them at some high cost, but I would rather make them up at home...by the truckload!) For all my friends who know I am NOT a cooking freak, no -- I have not gone insane. Just nuts for these nuts! If anyone can give me some tips, thanks!

 Sounds Yummy!

Here is a recipe I found in the paper last week. Made a batch last night, yummy and easy. OREO FUDGE:1 PACKAGE OF WHITE CHOCOLATE MORSELS,3/4 CAN SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK,2 CUPS OF CRUSHED OREO COOKIES. In a large saucepan on medium to low heat melt morsels in the milk. Stir continuosly to keep from scorching. When morsels are melted, add crushed cookies and stir until well mixed. Pour into a buttered or non stick pan. Refrigerate at least an hour (preferably longer). Cut into serving peices and enjoy. Also, anyone have a quick and simple recipe for homemade bread. I had one years ago that included cheese and can't find it. ^Belle^

 For Lucy

Anyone have a good appetizer recipe? I am tired of making the same stuff year after year..........thanks!

Thanks for posting my dilemma. I always do appetizers, I find it better than the main course most of the time. We usually do a formal dinner at Mom's for Christmas Eve but decided since we have 5 little ones and two teens and 8 adults, we'll do a child friendly menu. All I can think of is pigs in a blanket........I want to do adult stuff and kiddy stuff.........any suggestions would be helpful. And yes, stuffing those little mushrooms takes up a lot of time. Where's my Italian blog friends? Mamamiah where are you? Cia help!

 Dedicated to Scratch

Here is part of a comment that Scratch left in the suggestion dept.:

"No I really DO like to cook, I wasn't trying to be funny I have been doing it since I was eleven years old, my mom told me that it was a skill that would always serve anyone that could do it, its a life skill, I have a slow cooker by the way, but I would rather cook a in a dutch oven. I'm a food network addict and have cookbooks by Emeril Lagasse and others."

Scratch, all purses aside, I hope we can all compare notes and do what this blog was set up to do - help each other. And, Scratch I'm truly glad you are interested because it sounds to me like you can give us a lot good suggestions and ideas too! Thanks, my friend.

So, does anybody have any suggestions for Scratch, preferably meals that can be prepared in a dutch oven?
